REVISED NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL PROGRAMME
Revised National TB control Programme was launched in Nagaland on 1st
Dec 2001. Since the year 2007, the Programme has been achieving the
goals and objectives of RNTCP.
TB HIV collaborative activities was started in the year 2008. DOTS Plus services for management and treatment of MDR TB cases has been initiated since August 2012.

Registered TB patients with known HIV status : 2736(84%)
HIV infected : 149(5%)
1. 5 (five)CBNAAT Machines to diagnosed MDR TB cases were installed at Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Zunheboto & Tuensang. The CBNAAT machines for Tuensang & Zunheboto are installed at Dimapur & Kohima for the time being due to space constraints. Three more CBNAAT Machines are expected for Kiphir, Wokha & phek.
2. Fixed dose combination (FDC)daily regiment Anti TB drugs ie 99 DOTS for TB HIV co-infected patients and isoniazid prophylactic Therapy(IPT) for PLHIVs wa launched on 9th Dec 20126.
