  National Leprosy Eradication Programme

Objective

q    Reduction of Social Stigma associated with Leprosy.

q  Strengthening Disability Prevention and Medical Rehabilitation (DPMR) of Person affected
by Lepros

     Target  

q  Reduce Grade-II Disability.

q  Stigma Reduction.

        Activities

       Over and above the routine activities in all Districts, an intensive Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) House to House Survey was taken up at Dimapur District during the month of September 2016. The survey team have covered 2,88,018 Population, 158 person’s were identified as suspect case, out of which 4 persons  were confirmed case of Leprosy.

It could be seen from the table above that the State is still maintaining overall achieved target i.e. 0.33 Per 10,000 Population till December 2016. The Target set by the  Government  of India and World Health Organization (WHO)
